Job Summary

As a part-time team member at Puppy Prep, you will play a crucial role in offering top-quality care and companionship to pets. You will assist our clients by providing dog walking services, conducting pop-in pet care visits, organizing private pet outings or day-trips, and offering pet sitting services. This position is ideal for anyone who loves animals and enjoys working in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dog walking services, ensuring that each pet receives exercise and attention.
• Conduct pop-in visits to check on pets, feed them, and provide any necessary care.
• Organize and lead private pet outings and day-trips, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all pets involved.
• Offer in-home pet sitting services, ensuring pets are comfortable and secure in their home environment while owners are away.

Qualifications

• Passionate about animal care and welfare.
• Previous experience in pet care, dog walking, or pet sitting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

As a Canine Behavioral Specialist Apprentice, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and work alongside an experienced professional  in the field of canine behavior and training. This position is designed to complement and enhance our training, behavior consulting, and pack play services. You'll gain hands-on experience in understanding and influencing pet behavior, while supporting the Puppy Prep team in delivering exceptional pet care service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting behavior assessments and developing training plans for dogs based on individual needs and characteristics.

• Support the implementation of behavior modification and training sessions for dogs, ensuring alignment with Puppy Prep's core values and methodologies.
• Participate in pack play activities, ensuring all dogs are socialized in a safe and enriching environment.
• Collaborate with experienced trainers to enhance training programs and improve canine behavior strategies.
• Engage with pet owners to provide guidance and support on behavioral concerns and training progress.
